Why customers aren't picking up
Every day, people around the world receive 137 million unwanted phone calls.
Carriers use spam labels to protect them, but that leaves businesses in the dark about why. With no visibility, you can’t fix the problems hurting customer trust and keeping you from reaching the people who matter.

FAQs
Hiya Number Registration is a free service for businesses of any size to register their phone numbers with carriers. Registering helps carriers recognize your calls as legitimate, reducing the risk of being mistakenly labeled as spam or nuisance calls. This builds trust with customers and supports a healthy call reputation.
It also includes Caller Reputation, which lets you instantly see if your numbers are flagged as spam and provides a call performance report card to help you understand and improve your spam status.
To display your business name, logo, and call reason on customer phones, consider upgrading to Branded Call.
Carriers use spam detection systems that analyze call patterns and customer behavior. Even legitimate businesses can be flagged if recipients frequently ignore or block calls, or if the calls are perceived as disruptive. Registering your numbers with Hiya is one important step to show carriers you’re a trusted caller.

Registration reduces the risk of spam or nuisance labels, but it doesn’t completely prevent them. Carriers also consider how customers respond to your calls — if many people report or block your number, it can still be flagged. Maintaining customer-friendly calling practices is essential to keeping your numbers clean.
If your numbers are still flagged after registering, you can report incorrect labeling through your Hiya account or consider upgrading to Branded Call for added trust.
In most cases, your business and phone numbers are verified within about 24 hours. After verification, it can take a few additional days for registration changes to fully propagate across the Hiya Network as carrier systems update. During that period, you may begin to see gradual improvements in how your calls are labeled and delivered.
Hiya Number Registration does not create a name or logo to appear on your outbound calls. It helps carriers recognize your numbers as trusted, reducing the risk of spam or nuisance labeling.
If you want your business name, logo, or a call reason to display on customer phones, you’ll need Branded Call.
First, review your calling practices to ensure they’re compliant with regulations and follow customer-friendly guidelines. If you’ve already registered and your calls are still being incorrectly labeled, submit a report through the Hiya Support Hub using the “Report incorrect call treatment” form.
For additional protection and improved visibility, consider upgrading to Branded Call.
